 Experienced company outsources all environmental tasks
Collstrop A/S is one of the oldest companies in Denmark, being well on in years with more than 230 years. The Collstrop group dealing with as well pressure treatment as manufacturing of wood preservatives and paint has chosen to outsource their environmental department. ‘As an employee got another job, we had the possibility to think different. Consequently, we decided to outsource our environmental department in stead of employing a new employee with everything which it implies,' says Managing Director Mr Preben Kjærgaard.
Profiting from knowledge
'This decision, simultaneously, gave us the advantage that we now profit on the knowledge of 22 employees at Chemtox-Trotters whereas we before could profit on the knowledge of one single employee. Simultaneously we save money'.
Within specifically the fields where Collstrop works, considerable changes takes place these years – as well legislative amendments as changes within the consumer demands. 'This new arrangement ensures peace in mind due to the fact that, now, the environment is under control and we are, continuously, informed on legislative amendments – not only in Denmark, but in all of the European Union', continues Mr Preben Kjærgaard.
Takes care of application and registration
Simultaneously, Chemtox-Trotters has undertaken all contact with the authorities. Naturally, this means that all applications on new products and registrations of these are performed by Chemtox-Trotters. Chemtox-Trotters also guides on what concerns testing which might even be in foreign testing institutions. Chemtox-Trotters ensures always full discretion and confidence.
Even safety data sheets and workplace instructions
The above-mentioned work also comprehends contact to e.g. the county in the area where every single factory has been placed. It also implies visit at the manufacturing plant. It is evident that elaboration of safety data sheets and work place instructions have also been implied by this agreement.
The total outsourcing of the environmental tasks means that Collstrop can focus 100% on the tasks at which they are best – production and sales of their products within pressure treatment, paint and wood preservation.
